Yesterday afternoon we loaded all our kidlets into the van, picked up a cousin and headed up to Ruby’s Inn/Bryce Canyon to view the Solar Eclipse. It was AMAZING! Bryce Canyon has been holding its annual StarGazing Astronomy program so we were able to score cool Eclipse viewing glasses for everyone. We took a picnic dinner and staked out our territory on the grass and waited for the celestial event.
Photo of the Sun before the Eclipse to check how my camera will do
The leading edge of the Moon is just visible over the lower right quadrant of the Sun
6:33 p.m.- 10 minutes in to the Eclipse
7:23 p.m. Ring of Fire!!
Looking- Oh, so cool, with their Eclipse glasses on.
Micah bundled up.
The temperature dropped quickly during the fullest part of the Eclipse.
Heading home after a wonderful afternoon viewing the Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse.
