Joshua is a little mischief maker. Our first climber and general “get into everything in seconds” kid. Fully illustrated by the next photo.
Joshua "helping" with dishes
Joshua climbed into the sink, put in the plug, added soap, and filled the sink with water and dishes. When he was discovered he announced “I’m Helping!!”
Duztin and Noah participated in the 5k fun run for Pioneer Day in the next town, Cannonville. Noah came in 1st in his age division and Duztin came in 2nd.
At the Starting Line
Have a great day!!
Happy to model his cute bibs!!
Here is a picture I promised of the bibs I made. They are so easy to sew! He has about 8 now with more in process.
Micah finally has "Sorensen Cheeks"

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House
We had the opportunity to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House on the 11th of July, it was a wonderful experience. That evening we were blessed to attend the baptism of our sweet friend Mary in SLC.
Mary and Eliza. Mary was baptized on her birthday, I made her a doll for the occasion. Our girls brought their dolls on the trip as well.
It is already the end of July! Where is the summer going? We have had a busy month. Independence Day was so much fun, I love small (think Micro) town celebrations. We started the day before by making 40lbs of flour into frybread dough for the Indian Taco lunch.
I used a 5 gallon bucket to mix the dough in. Early the next morning Duztin shot of 4 blank rounds in his black powder pistol (sorry no pics). The kids didn’t even stir, after the 2nd round I woke them up. They were happy to get up, they didn’t want to miss it. We then got ready for the “parade” I had sewn a bunting to go around the wagon and little flags for their bikes, as well as shorts/capris/bibs for the kids to wear.
You can't see Eva very well she is behind Eliza.
Duztin on his stingray with Jonah on the back seat, nice saddlebags!
Noah pulling Naomi and Joshua in the wagon.
Micah was passed out in Grandma's arms for the Parade
Run, Joshua, Run!
Run, Naomi, Run!
Run, Jonah, Run!
Run, Eliza, Run!
Run, Noah, Run!
I didn’t get a good picture of Eva’s race, or of Duztin and I in the 3-legged race. It was tons of fun though!
The boys (minus Micah who was still hanging out with Grandma).
Grandpa & Grandma with the girls and Micah, Eliza is hiding behing Grandpa, she didn't want to be in the picture.
Joshua had enough after lunch and took a nap in the wagon.
Roasting Marshmallows while we wait to do fireworks
We had a wonderful Independence Day! We made about 135 Indian Tacos, the town put on the taco lunch for cost. All the inflatables and activities were paid for by Henrieville Town. It was great to watch the kids all playing together without the usual “ticket $0.50” per time on the inflatables. Just a nice fun day with our neighbors and their families.
This diaper bag is made from “Polly goes to Paris” fabric squares. It has a matching wipe/diaper clutch inside, I didn’t get a good pic of the clutch. It went to a sweet couple who have been blessed to adopt a new baby girl.
Polly goes to Paris Diaper Bag
These are some cute “girls” made from The Black Apple doll pattern available on Martha Stewart http://www.marthastewart.com/article/black-apple-doll I made a few modifications to the pattern, I enlarged it 200% for a little bigger doll (made the arms much easier to sew and stuff), I added ponytails and embroidered the faces instead of painting them on.
The two on the right “Pink-Belle” and “Blue-Belle” are Naomi’s, the blue doll on the left is “Mandy” she belongs to Eliza and the green doll is “Abigail”, she belongs to Eva.
Bibs for Mr. Drooley aka Micah
This is a great bib pattern from Chickpea Studio, free pattern to download-http://chickpeastudio.typepad.com/chickpea_sewing_studio/2008/01/chickpea-infant.html
I used my snap press instead of button/buttonholes for more adjustability, each bib has 2 layers of cotton knit and a top decorative fabric of cotton woven print, cotton knit print or fine corduroy print.
I will get a pic of our sweet Mr. Drooley modeling one of them when he wakes up.
